Is Mediterranean Diet Right for You?

What is the Mediterranean diet?  It's largely based around vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, fish, and eggs, along with some meat, dairy, olive oil, and red wine. The real nutritional engine of the Mediterranean diet was always the higher amount of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes, and the fact that when animal fat was consumed, it was in relatively modest amounts.
